This was a birthday gift for an 8 year old grandson! He has been taking piano for a little over a year and loves Jon Williams music! He does really well with the music so far.

My son is obsessed with movie music, so we purchased this book so he could start to tinker a few of the soundtracks out on piano. His piano teacher loves this version. Says it's the perfect mix of the songs and the ease needed for a younger (10yo) piano student. Even my twin daughters can tinker along on some of the songs!Highly recommended!

When it says beginner piano, it means it. These arrangements were overly simple and easy.

Reccomend with caution....Years ago I worked for Aetna and used a PDR frequently. The 2013 PDR is not as much a quality book as the old books of the 80's and 90's simply because it contains limited information. Seems that now drug companies can opt out to having their prescriptions published. Thus leaving the newer PDR's incomplete. The idea is that each company publishes their own informationon line. They thus have control on HOW THEY PRESENT THEIR OWN products and basically the on line versions become one big commercial. That said, I reccomend this book for anyone that likes to read truth good and bad about medications- of course not all of today's meds are listed.....

This is the most complete book I have found for researching the risk of a drug, so I buy it about every five years. When our doctors prescribe any drug, I look it up in this book before filling the prescription and maybe discuss alternative treatments with the doctor. Prescription drugs have side effects that may not be known for 30 years, so I avoid taking them unless I am in really bad shape. I rarely get sick as I have built up my immunities over the years by having my body fight these things on its own. The book also has information on whether a pregnant or nursing mother can take it. My general rule is that if it is not safe for a pregnant or nursing mother, I am not taking it either. Drugs don't always work and it is a never ending battle with bacteria killing people in hospitals. Your body is an amazing thing and if you treat it right, it can fight bacteria better than any drug. As big as this book is, it still did not have what I was looking for in the general index, so you might have to consult another book in that case, like the Nurse's PDR.

It is what it is.. big, lots of information in a form that can be HARD to digest. Wish they'd have arranged it by drug category, etc. instead of by "manufacturer". Basically,, it's the billionaire's drug company book of patented "money making" drugs. The NEWER it gets,, the more it is filled with the newest drugs that have the worst side effects. You've seen the TV commercials.. "ASK your doctor about this or that"... (may cause drowsiness, diarrhea, heart attacks, sleep driving, exploding eyeballs, swollen tongue, clogged lungs, etc.) But it's still something you gotta have.

This product came as Brand New. I am a R.N. and wanted to check on a new medication a Doctor had suggested I use. It was a fairly new medication and has only been out for about 6 years. The Pharmacist did not have enough information to satisfy me. I could not find enough information Online either. While it does not have all the older medications in it because so many new medications come out, a person would have to collect every year of these PDR's but they had all the information I needed to make the decision Not to try this new medication as I have had past life threatening problems with other medications and I am very sensitive to medications. I was grateful to be able to purchase one from Amazon without paying the full price that I would have at a bookstore even with the delivery charge I still came out cheaper. Thanks again, Amazon and Seller. Excellent Product!

The book arrived before the date on the invoice, I especially liked being able to find a seller close to my home as it was less for shipping.The book was in very good condition for a used one (minimal damage) and the price was great!I needed it as I work in the medical professions and couldn't find any left in my area. I also like to find out all of the side effects of medications that doctors don't tell you.

José Guadalupe Posada (1852–1913) was Mexico's most illustrious graphic artist. After his death he was venerated by the artists of the new generation—Rivera, Orozco, and many others, who realized that he had both saved and renewed the art of engraving in Mexico, and incorporated much of Posada's imagery into their own work.Here are close to 300 of Posada's best engravings, all done for the printer and publisher A. Vanegas Arroyo in Mexico City. Posada worked in two techniques—engraving on type metal with a many-pointed burin and, later, relief etching on zinc. The broadsides he illustrated commemorated all sorts of occasions—disasters, political events, crimes, and miracles—or they glorified great popular heroes like Zapata. Posada was known for his calaveras—skeletons that cavorted, ate and drank, rode bicycles and horses, wielded swords and daggers, or were revolutionaries, streetcleaners, dishwashers, and almost everything else. This was traditional art for All Souls' Day, the Mexican Day of the Dead, but in Posada's hands it became extremely versatile, sometimes an instrument of social and political satire, sometimes a sympathetic portrait of a revolutionary, sometimes a comic, cartoon-like memento mori. He did engravings of murders, suicides, catastrophes, robberies, and executions, as well as of snake-men, giant snails, and other grotesques and deformation. He pictured the daily pleasures and chagrins of the people from a proletarian point of view, and with overflowing imaginativeness. I was familiar with the skeleton drawings long before I had even heard of Posada and after a trip to Mexico City a number of years ago I had to learn more. In the DF we saw a museum dedicated to cartoons and many of them were Posada's. The Dover book is a good introduction to his graphics. There is a lot of political humor in his work and even if you're not too interested in what the graphics subject matter you can still appreciate his skill. His artwork is probably known all over the worls although his name may not be. Now I need to find a good biography of the man.

I teach English language arts/ humanities through a cultural lens using art as a vehicle to understand historic social issues. This book was spot on to decipher the political times Posada lived. Great buy. Artwork great commentary.

About the Author

Essex Hemphill was a poet, editor, activist, and in 1993, a visiting scholar at The Getty Center for the History of Art and the Humanities. His work has appeared in the anthologies In the Life (1986), Gay and Lesbian Poetry in Our Time (1986), and Life Sentences: Writers, Artists and AIDS (1993), as well as several newspapers and journals including Obsidian, Black Scholar, Callaloo, Painted Bride Quarterly, Essence, and more. His work was also featured in the documentaries Tongues Untied and Looking for Langston. Hemphill edited BROTHER TO BROTHER: NEW WRITINGS BY BLACK GAY MEN (RedBone Press, 2007), which won a Lambda Literary Award. He's also the author of Ceremonies: Prose and Poetry (1992), which won the National Library Association's Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual New Author Award, and two chapbooks: Earth Life (1985) and Conditions (1986). In 1994 he died from complications related to AIDS.

Aside from that I think it is good that the author created a vehicle for these men to leave their mark on the world. There are a lot of brilliant gay people who have been devastated by the AIDS epidemic. We will never know the cool gifts they had to offer the world as a result. This book is at the very least a way of remembering some good people who died way too soon.

I collect Gamelan instruments, both Javanese and Balinese. This is an excellent introduction to the Balinese side of things. This is some of the most beautiful and unusual music in the world. The great bronze metallophones are stunning.

Gamelan is basically a pot gong and xylophone orchestra, from Indonesia. They have similar instruments in Thailand and Cambodia. They are played something like hocketing. About the Author

Dr. Eyjolfsson entered pharmacy in 1959, having studied at the University of Iceland and then at the Pharmaceutical University of Denmark, Copenhagen 1961-1964 (MsPharm 1964). Dr. Eyjolfsson earned a Ph.D. in the chemistry of natural product from same university in 1968. He moved to Iceland in 1971 and has worked with drug formulation science at Pharmaco, Delta, Actavis until 2010. Dr. Eyjolfsson is an author of approximately 30 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals mainly on phytochemistry and pharmaceutics. He has designed many different dosage forms but mostly conventional tablets and slow release tablets.
