I am an adult learner, going back to school 14 years after not quite graduating college. This was a textbook I used for a public speaking class. The organization is great. The topics are well structured and discussed. However, one major fault I couldn’t get over - subversive language to promote progressive agenda. The book is overflowing with statements condemning opposition to homosexual relationships, promoting socialism, decrying Christianity and favoring Islam. The textbook is not neutral in its underlying message and it was very distracting. Proceed with caution.
I am currently using this book for a college course. The discussion of gender and homosexuality arises in the first chapter and continues into the second, from what I understand there is more to come. This seems to be a gender and homosexual studies book disguised as a communications book.
Book arrived with writing on front cover, some type of stain on very first page, and a torn page that was placed in two different parts of the book.
Worked great for the class. Had a hiccup with the return due to returning two at once but amazon made it right
Didn’t get the item and had to ask for refund if I remember well. ( it was like 1 & half year ago)
This was used as a school textbook, but let me tell you ... it’s worth reading for every communicator! Every topic is useful in daily application, and I HIGHLY recommended it!
Nice book/pages, wish it came binded at a cheaper price
Required for my college class, but actually a great book on communication.
